  Join us in Childwall Woods Wednesday 8th February 10-11.30am for our mindfulness Walk. Getting out in nature is not only great for your mental health but also your child's mental health. This is not only a great opportunity to get together but also staff will be there to share information about keeping your child's mental health, from baby to school age, healthy.

  Charlotte worked with us for over year in 2018. Charlotte was larger than life. A lovely person who was kind, funny and caring. She was a whirlwind who brought light and laughter with her wherever she went. We are grateful we can say we worked with her and we know she adored the parents and children she got to work with.
  Charlotte gave birth via Caesarean section to gorgeous baby Zachary on Tuesday 5th April, unfortunately he was born sleeping, due to complications Charlotte was in intensive care after delivery and never recovered leaving behind a beautiful little boy Tommo.
  Oakleaf is a dedicated bereavement service for children and young people who are affected by bereavement, loss and separation in their life. Which we thought was a perfect charity to donate to in memory of Charlotte and baby Zach.

  My name is Georgia Markham, and I am writing on behalf of Professor Helen Stalford at the European Children’s Rights Unit. We have been developing some materials with the Home Office, to raise awareness of the European Union Settlement Scheme. The UK has now left the European Union, and therefore, children from other European countries must complete an application and regularise their immigration status in order to stay in the UK. The deadline for this scheme is less than 7 weeks away (30 June 2021), and data collected by the Home Office suggests that there are still over 200,000 children who are eligible for the scheme but have not yet registered. 

   

  We are contacting you as we believe you work closely with the vulnerable children in your community who may be eligible to apply for this scheme. It would be beneficial for the children in your area if you could help disseminate these materials across your networks however you think best. 

   

  The link below contains resources that will assist these children in making their application. These include child-friendly FAQ’s and helpful information sheets. We have also attached some child-friendly scenarios that will help children to understand how the scheme could apply to them.

• RE-OPENING

  Good Morning!

  We are so glad that things are starting to get back to normal and our re-opening is looking closer and closer.

  However at the moment we have not had a date when this will be. When we do open it will be small groups of targeted services first and other sessions will be then phased in.
