BAMBIS in the Community

Liverpool BAMBIS (Babies and Mums Breastfeeding Information and Support) is a team of trained peer supporters—local mums who have breastfed their own babies and received formal training to support others. They offer friendly, accessible, mum-to-mum breastfeeding support across Liverpool, including in the community.

Whether you're pregnant, just starting your breastfeeding journey, or need ongoing support, BAMBIS are here to help. You can find them at community events, local groups, and through one-to-one support.

BAMBIS in the Centre

BAMBIS also work in partnership with Liverpool’s Children’s Centres to offer regular Stay and Play Breastfeeding Support Sessions. These are relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can meet other parents, ask questions, and get support from trained BAMBIS peer supporters.

But it’s not just about breastfeeding support—these sessions are also a fun stay and play for all children aged 0–5 years. Everyone is welcome to join in the activities, make new friends, and enjoy a warm, supportive environment.

BAMBIS Antenatal Infant Feeding Support

Preparing for breastfeeding starts before your baby arrives. BAMBIS offer antenatal infant feeding sessions to help you feel confident and informed from day one. These sessions cover:

• What to expect in the early days
• How to know your baby is feeding well
• Common challenges and how to overcome them
• Where to get help when you need it

These sessions are a great opportunity to ask questions and connect with other expectant parents.
